Spring Break Time :)

9 Mar 2008 @ 14:38:04,

After couple of busy weeks (due to exams for dependable computing course and VLSI fabrication course), its time to relax. I plan to be in Austin in the break. A lot of papers about effect of stress/strain on the performance of short channel devices are waiting on my desk to be read. Also, need to buy a pair of shoes this week.

DAC '08 Paper Accepted

2008-02-23 @ 12:12,

My DAC Paper (with Donnie and Prof. Pan) got accepted in DAC '08.  We developed an algorithm for simultaneous buffer insertion and placement to mitigate congestion and routability problem.  Results show around 30% lesser wirelength and 70% lesser buffers for nearly 3 times increase in runtime of the placer.

Learning Process Simulation

2007-01-01 @ 00:01

After relying long enough on previous work to capture/model the effect of various stressors (like S/D SiGe) on silicon channel's mobility as a function of stressor's geometrical dimensions, I have started learning Synopsys Supreme process simulator.
