The UT Design Automation Laboratory (UTDA) focuses on the research and development of design automation algorithms, methodologies, and tools for electronics, optics/photonics, and emerging technologies. The current research topics include (but not limited to):
- Design for manufacturability, reliability, and security
- Electronic design automation for digital and analog/mixed-signal ICs and systems
- Machine learning in EDA
- FPGA prototyping and acceleration
- Optical computing and optical interconnect
- Design/CAD for emerging technologies and applications
- Cross-layer optimizations of architecture, CAD, circuit, and technology
