The UT VLSI Design Automation Laboratory (UTDA) focuses primarily on the development of design automation algorithms and tools for VLSI and emerging technologies. The research topics include:
- Nanometer physical design
- Design for manufacturability
- Variation tolerant interconnect/clock optimizations
- Low power and thermal aware design
- Vertical integration of architecture, CAD/circuit, and technology
- Design/automation of emerging technologies
